Coemi G 3 55kw Wind Turbine

The Coemi  55/15 Wind Turbine is a worthy candidate for use at large PLCs and industrial units, large farms and manufacturing plants.

The Coemi 55/15 wind turbine is a direct grid connected to a three-phase mains power supply, making it ideal for large energy users and small wind farms.

Its massive 3-blade rotor has a 15.2 metre diameter using Technology first discovered by the Danish Wind Industry using Fixed Pitch Stall Regulated Blades with automatic centrafugal tip brakes to ensure the turbine rota can not over rotate.

Operation is similar to a Vestas V20 using a fixed rotation speed of 59RPM driving an Asynchonous induction generator through a 75kW two stage gearbox. In addition the design incorporates a unique torque limiter to protect the gearbox agained high gusts.

The 18m can be supplied with a unique hydraulic ram system to raise and lower the free-standing 18-meter galvanised tower and therefore do not require a crane for erection.

Free standing towers 18m and 30m are available with an access ladder and cage

Coemi wind turbines come with a five-year warranty (first year labour-free) and are the most technologically advanced on the market. Find out why Coemi Wind Turbines are the only choice for your business.

Aeronautical Blade Design

Fixed Stall Regulated Blades (FSRB)* ensure that the generator will operate even in strong gusty wind conditions.

*The Coemi 55/15 has additional centrifugal tip brakes (CTB) which automatically regulate the blade speed to ensure they do not over rotate

Because the blades are fixed with no moving parts, they are more robust and lighter than variable pitch turbines with the additional benefit of a lower start up generating wind speed from 3 m/s (6.9mph). Normal blade rpm is fixed at 59rpm.

Efficiency

Direct grid connection means the Coemi 55/15 wind turbine is connected directly to the mains and does not require rectification, dump or inverter, making it up to 20% more efficient.

Safety

Powerful hydraulically operated Twin caliper disc brake operates on the low speed shaft. These are released when pressurised, therefore they are fail safe if either the hydraulics fail or the mains is diconnected.

Technological

The system is controlled by a  Siemans PLC controller which monitors the wind speed, direction, load, mains voltage, mains cycle Hz and rotation speed.
GPRS is used to enable engineers to monitor and update the turbine remotely through the internet.
