Wind Turbine Installation - The Process
Installing a Coemi wind turbine couldn’t be easier. Once we have chosen an appropriate location and our team of specialist planners have acquired planning permission for your site, our engineers erect, install and commission your wind turbine.
Here’s how it works:
The tower and turbine are delivered to your site, using a crane trailer, no lifting vehicles will be required as with most larger turbines.
Our ground workers will install your base steel work and concrete these in for the tower base and controller base. An excavator will be required for approximately one day. Trenching and cable will also be laid ready for our electrical engineer to prepare.
(You may wish to carry out some of the ground works yourself provided you can do so to our specifications. This can save on costs and can be excluded from our quotations)
Once your concrete base is set (this takes 30 days) our Electrical Engineer will prepare your electrical installation and complete the earth grounding requirements for the turbine tower and controller.
Efficient Installation
The installation team is on site for two days to put the turbine up and commission the machine.
Because we use a hydraulic ram and hydraulic pump to raise your tower, no crane is required for the 18m tower, the only 50kW turbine available with this option!
Our Electrical Engineer and a Factory Engineer will commission your turbine and run extensive tests to ensure all systems are working correctly. The complete installation can be completed within just 2 days, without the inconvenience of heavy vehicles and large expensive cranes.
Monitoring
We can monitor your turbine through the built-in GPRS interface, which will also allow our engineers to make further adjustments to increase the efficiency of your turbine.
